Definition

Median time from emergency department (ED) arrival to time of departure from the emergency room for patients discharged from the ED. Likely for all patients discharged from ED.

Numerator

When number of data points are odd, the rank of median time = (( number of data points+1/2) for when time points are listed by increasing time (rank). When number of data points are even, the rank of the median time = (number of data points/ 2).

Denominator

(Population: All patients discharged from ED).
