Definition

Average amount of direct therapy received from each rehabilitation discipline each day (in minutes)

Numerator

Median number of time (minutes) of direct therapy for each patient admitted to an inpatient rehabilitation bed (calculate overall, then separate out for each type of therapy received – e.g., PT, OT, SLP)

Denominator

This is a continuous variable measure. The target population is all stroke and transient ischaemic attack (TIA) patients admitted to an inpatient rehabilitation hospital.
