Percentage of patients diagnosed with unilateral or bilateral vestibular hypofunction who had an order for a referral to physical therapy or occupational therapy for vestibular rehabilitation or had a prescription for vestibular rehabilitation, documentation that vestibular rehabilitation was recommended or provided.
Numerator
Patients with • an order for a referral to physical therapy or occupational therapy for vestibular rehabilitation OR • prescription for vestibular rehabilitation OR • documentation that vestibular rehabilitation was recommended OR • documentation that vestibular rehabilitation was provided
Denominator
Patients diagnosed with unilateral or bilateral vestibular hypofunction
Exclusions
Exclusions are removed from the denominator: • Patient has refused or declined vestibular rehabilitation services • Patient previously received vestibular rehabilitation services and it was determined to not be effective • Patient is clinically asymptomatic or compensated in unilateral or bilateral vestibular hypofunction
