Definition

Percentage of residents who have a drug incident in seven days. Defined as: medicine(s) not given, wrong dosage given; medicine(s) given at the wrong time; wrong method of administration; wrong medication(s) given.

Numerator

Number of residents affected in the past seven days by a medicine incident.

Denominator

Number of residents observed in those seven days.

Exclusions

If the resident manages his own medication or this is done entirely by the family.
