Defining Attributes

Definition

The indicator shows the percentage of people aged 20 or over who would have needed doctor's appointment services but were unable to get the services or provided with insufficient services. Based on the question: Do you feel you received enough of the following health care services in the previous 12 months? The items in the battery of questions included doctor's appointment services. The response options were 1) I have not needed it, 2) I would have needed it, but did not receive the service, 3) I have used the service but it was not adequate, 4) I have used the service and it was adequate.

Numerator

Number of responses to options '2' or '3'.

Denominator

Total number of responses excluding responses to option '1'.

Exclusions

Excludes responses to option '1'.
