Defining Attributes

Definition

The indicator gives the total number of mental health outpatient visits in primary health care and outpatient visits in psychiatry per a thousand persons aged 18 and over. Primary health care visits include visits to physicians and other practitioners at mental health clinics in health centres. Psychiatry includes all outpatient visits in specialised health care within the speciality of (adult) psychiatry in all municipal hospitals, including specialist-led health-centre hospitals. The population data refer to year-end data.
