Definition
The indicator shows the percentage of health service users aged 65 or over who felt that excessively high customer charges at least sometimes hampered access to care. Based on the question: "Have the following factors interfered with you receiving treatment in the past 12 months?": - Excessively high customer charges made it difficult to receive treatment. The response options were: 1) always, 2) most of the time, 3) sometimes, 4) never, 5) does not apply to me or the services I have used. The examination includes the respondents choosing option 1), 2) or 3) who had used health services.
Numerator
Number of people aged 65 or older who selected option 1, 2 or 3.
Denominator
Total number of people aged 65 or older who completed the survey.
