Defining Attributes

Definition

The indicator shows the sub-area in the continuity of care, the care relationship between the patient and the professional, and the average continuity of interaction for patients aged 65 or over who have used non-urgent, out-patient professional services (doctor) in primary health care.

Numerator

The Bice-Boxerman Continuity of Care Index score. The higher the value assigned to the indicator, the better continuity of care has been realised for the residents of the area.

This is a continuous variable.
