Defining Attributes

Definition

The indicator shows the number of completed outpatient physician visits in primary health care with all methods of contact per 1,000 inhabitants. The outpatient physician visits in primary health care include all physician visits in all primary health care services, including all events covered by the Avohilmo data collection without limitations to the method of contact or service type. Service type refers to, e.g. outpatient medical care, and method of contact to e.g. an appointment with a physician at the place of care or by telephone. Population proportions are calculated at THL based on the Population Statistics of Statistics Finland.
