Definition

All patients with a leg ulcer should have a documented assessment of screening for arterial disease by Doppler measurement of ankle/brachial pressure index within six weeks.

Numerator

Number of patients with documented ABPI measurement.

Denominator

Number of patients on caseload with leg ulcer.

Exclusions

On the caseload for less than six weeks. Record of refusal of Doppler measurement recorded in patient‟s notes. known severe arterial disease.
