Defining Attributes

Definition

Number of new cancer cases treated (Detection rate: % of which resulted from a two week wait (TWW) referral).

Numerator

The number of patients recorded by GP practices as having a 2 week cancer referral in the year of interest who were subsequently diagnosed as having cancer.

Denominator

The number of patients who have a date of first treatment in the year of interest recorded on the cancer waiting times system.

Exclusions

Practices with 4 or less in the denominator are suppressed.
