Definition

The percentage of MA enrollees aged 45 to 75 (denominator) as of December 31 of the measurement year who had appropriate screenings for colorectal cancer (numerator).

Numerator

The number of Medicare Advantage enrollees aged 45 to 75 as of December 31 of the measurement year who had appropriate screenings for colorectal cancer.

Denominator

The total number of Medicare Advantage enrollees aged 45 to 75 as of December 31 of the measurement year.

Exclusions

Medicare members 66 years of age and older as of December 31 of the measurement year who meet either of the following: (1) Enrolled in an Institutional SNP (I-SNP) any time during the measurement year or (2) Living long-term in an institution any time during the measurement year as identified by the LTI flag in the Monthly Membership Detail Data File. Members 66 years of age and older as of December 31 of the measurement year (all product lines) with frailty (Frailty Value Set) and advanced illness during the measurement year. Members receiving palliative care (Palliative Care Assessment Value Set; Palliative Care Encounter Value Set; Palliative Care Intervention Value Set) during the measurement year
