Definition
The percentage of sampled Medicare enrollees (denominator) who reported ever having received a pneumococcal vaccine (numerator). CAHPS Survey Question (question number varies depending on survey type): Have you ever had one or more pneumonia shots? Two shots are usually given in a person's lifetime and these are different from a flu shot. It is also called the pneumococcal vaccine.

The total number of Medicare enrollees in the sample.
