Defining Attributes

Definition

The percentage of patients 50–75 years of age who had appropriate screening for colorectal cancer.

Numerator

Patients who received one or more screenings for colorectal cancer according to clinical guidelines.

Denominator

Patients 51–75 years of age

Exclusions

Patients with a history of colorectal cancer or total colectomy, patients who use hospice services or are enrolled in an institutional special needs plan (SNP) or living long-term in an institution any time during the measurement year.
