Defining Attributes

Definition

The percentage of individuals 18 years of age and older who are on long-term opioid therapy and have not received a drug test at least once during the measurement year.

Numerator

Individuals in the denominator population who have not received a drug test during the measurement year.

Denominator

The target population for this measure is individuals 18 years of age and older and prescribed long-term opioid therapy during the measurement year.

Exclusions

Individuals with: 1) a diagnosis of cancer at any time during the measurement year; or 2) hospice care at any time during the year.
