Definition

Percentage of enrolled patients 50 years of age and over with a diagnosis of osteoporosis who, in the last 12 months, have had a prescription for osteoporosis or bisphosphonate medication, or an osteoporosis action plan review.

Numerator

Enrolled patients 50 years of age or over with a diagnosis of osteoporosis who have one of the following criteria: (1) Prescription for osteoporosis medication in the last 12 months, (2) Prescription for bisphosphonate medication in the last 12 months, (3) Osteoporosis action plan review in the last 12 months.

Denominator

Enrolled patients 50 years of age or over with a diagnosis of osteoporosis who have one of the following criteria: (1) Prescription for osteoporosis medication in the last 60 months, (2) Prescription for bisphosphonate medication in the last 60 months, (3) Osteoporosis action plan.
