Defining Attributes

Definition

The median or 50th percentile response time is the time in which half of ambulance responses to high priority, time critical incidents (Priority code 1) are completed. Where multiple ambulances arrive at a single incident, only the first is counted. Priority codes are triaged from 0 to 9, where lower codes are more urgent/highest priority (e.g., suspected cardiac arrest).
