Definition
The median response time is the time in which half of ambulance responses to life-threatening incidents (Priority code 0) are completed. Where multiple ambulances arrive at a single incident, only the first is counted. Priority codes are triaged from 0 to 9, where lower codes are more urgent/highest priority (e.g., suspected cardiac arrest). Response times are not provided when the number of ambulance arrivals for that measure is less than 10. Air ambulance results are excluded from reporting.
