Definition

Cumulative length of stay in day in an acute care hospital, measured in 25th, 50th and 75th percentile days in the last 6 months of life of those adults who died (with a cancer diagnosis) in an acute care hospital.

Numerator

Number of days in acute-care hospital in last six months of life.

Denominator

Patients who died in an acute care hospital due to cancer

Exclusions
