Definition
During this hospital stay, after you pressed the call button, how often did you get help as soon as you wanted it? The response options to question (4 in 20 measure) is: Never, Sometimes, Usually, Always, Not applicable (I never pressed the call button).
Numerator
A subset of the denominator that represents patients age 18 and older who responded to a question about if help was readily available.
Denominator
Patients age 18 and older who responded to questions regarding receiving help after pressing the call button, in the Canadian Institute for Health Information- Patient Experiences Survey.
Exclusions
Patient populations not included in maternal, surgical and medical. (To ensure comparability across hospitals and to prevent misinterpretation, results do not include maternity patients).
