Definition
How often did doctors, nurses and other hospital staff seem informed and up-to-date about your hospital care? The response options to question (23 in 20 measure and 8 in 6 measure) is: Never, Sometimes, Usually, Always.
Numerator
A subset of the denominator that represents patients age 18 and older who responded to a question about hospital staff staying informed on patient information.
Denominator
Patients age 18 and older who responded to questions regarding receiving enough information from hospital staff about if doctors, nurses and other hospital staff seem informed and up-to-date about your hospital care, in the Canadian Institute for Health Information- Patient Experiences Survey.
Exclusions
Patient populations not included in maternal, surgical and medical. (To ensure comparability across hospitals and to prevent misinterpretation, results do not include maternity patients).
