Definition
Thinking about your care and treatment, how often were you told something by a member of staff that was different from what you had been told by another member of staff? The response options to question (22 In 20 measure and 7 in 6 measure) are: Never, Sometimes, Usually, Always.
Numerator
A subset of the denominator that represents patients age 18 and older who responded to a question about being treated told consistent information by staff.
Denominator
Patients age 18 and older who responded to questions regarding accuracy of information given by medical professionals in the Canadian Institute for Health Information- Patient Experiences Survey
Exclusions
Patient populations not included in maternal, surgical and medical. (To ensure comparability across hospitals and to prevent misinterpretation, results do not include maternity patients).
