The percentage of patients who selected the most positive response option to the survey question: Were you involved as much as you wanted to be in making decisions about your treatment and care?
Numerator
The number of "yes, always" responses to the survey question.
Denominator
Total number of responses to the survey question.
Exclusions
"I was unable to be involved" and "I did not want to be involved" responses.

Risk Adjustments
The results are weighted. Weighting adjusts for under- or over-representation in responses by age, gender and ethnic group and means the results account for differences in response rates within a local population.
Stratifications
By ethnic group, age group, gender and Te Whatu Ora health district.
