Definition
The ALOS in days for all inpatient discharges and deaths excluding Length of Stay over 30 days. Length of stay is counted from the date of admission of the patient to an inpatient hospital bed until their date of discharge.
Numerator
Total Inpatient Bed days (based on trimmed length of stay) for patients in the period.
Denominator
Total number of inpatient discharges for those in same period.
