Definition

National inpatient reported overall experience on a scale of 1 to 10.

Numerator

The number of patients who answered "very good" (scores of 9 or 10), "good" (scores of 7 or 8), or "fair to poor" (scores of 1 to 6) to the survey question.

Denominator

The number of responses to the question.

Exclusions

Patients receiving services such as day care, maternity, psychiatric, paediatric and some other specialist services. Patients receiving care in private hospitals.
