Definition
The percentage of residential care home and nursing home beds, suitable for a person with dementia (65+), which are rated as 'good' or 'outstanding' by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), per CCG and local authority. It is highly recommended that this indicator is interpreted together with the companion metrics 'Dementia: Residential care and nursing home bed capacity (aged 65+)' and 'Dementia: Percentage of assessed residential care and nursing home beds (aged 65+)'.
Numerator
Count of beds rated as 'good' or 'outstanding' by the CQC in each CCG or local authority.
Denominator
Total number of beds, suitable for a person with dementia (65+) for all CQC residential care and nursing homes in each CCG and local authority.
