The proportion of people with dementia in the country that received a diagnosis for dementia
Numerator
The total number of persons 60+ years diagnosed with (all-cause) dementia in a given year (i.e. reference year).
Denominator
The estimated total number of people with dementia aged 60 years and over during the reference year.

Via an online data collection survey, the GDO e-tool, with diagnostic rate for dementia either be provided by country focal points or calculated using the best estimate of the total number of persons diagnosed with dementia (numerator) and the estimated total number of people with dementia aged 60 years and over (denominator). Alternatively, the denominator will be based on WHO prevalence estimates. Data sources for this indicator include Dementia register, insurance register, other register-type dataset, administrative data, survey data.
