Definition
The rate at which TIA and stroke patients are readmitted for any cause in the 30-days following discharge from acute care or the emergency department. This indicator is for all-cause readmission; therefore, a patient can be readmitted due to non-stroke related causes.

Number of TIA and stroke patients readmitted for any cause in the 30-days following discharge from acute care or the emergency department (inferred).
Denominator
Number of TIA and stroke patients discharged from acute care of the emergency department.
