Defining Attributes

Definition

The number of re-attendances within 7 days of an A&E attendance, as recorded in ECDS excluding planned follow-up attendances and non-applicable attendances/dead on arrival.

Numerator

The number of re-attendances within 7 days of an A&E attendance, as recorded in ECDS excluding planned follow-up attendances and non-applicable attendances/dead on arrival. Attendances that were streamed at assessment are also excluded.

Denominator

This is a continuous variable measure. The target population is attendances in ECDS (inferred).
