Definition

Median and 90th percentile wait time that Ontarians wait, from community and acute-care settings, for CCACs to assess clients and determine eligibility for admission to a Long-Term Care (LTC) Home.

Numerator

Wait time from application to eligibility determination for LTC home placement is the difference (in days) between the Application Open Date and Eligibility Date. The median and 90th percentile is taken for each group (CCAC, LHINs) for which the measure is reported.

Denominator

This is a continuous variable measure. The target population is people who have applied for eligibility determination for LTC home placement (inferred).

Exclusions

Wait time from application to eligibility determination greater than 365 days.
