The rolling three month number of patients discharged from adult (mental health) acute beds that were eligible for 72 hour follow up in the reporting period as a proportion of all adult acute bed discharges.
Numerator
Number of discharges from adult acute beds eligible for 72 hour follow up in the reporting period.

Total number of discharges from adult acute beds followed up within 72 hours in the reporting period.

Routine provider submission to the Mental Health Services Data Set (MHSDS). This is a patient level, output based secondary uses data set which aims to deliver robust, comprehensive, nationally consistent and comparable person-based information for patients who are in contact with Mental Health Services. Monthly provider level data will be available approx. 12 weeks after each period – details will be provided via the 'Mental Health CQUIN' FutureNHS Collaboration Platform.
